Syllabus

This class is all about learning about the history of the United States from the beginning with Columbus and other explorers stumbling upon the New World to present day affairs. The usual be on time, don't use your phone in class, and everything that you've learned for years will apply to this class so let's save some time and agree to just follow the common sense rules.

The material for this class will focus on readings from the text book, lectures, as well as outside assignments. We will have a test after every chapter and each will be comprehensive of all material learned up to that point. (Do not complain, you will thank me when it comes time to study for the final). There will be several movie days where we will watch documentaries about more important events, however this is not a day to ditch or sleep through class. I will be using material from these movies on tests so take good notes!

The standard grading applies here as well.
90-100 = A
80-89 = B
70-79 = C
60-69 = D
59 and below = F

As long as you pay attention in class and do the assignments this class will not be difficult. If you have any concerns or questions feel free to talk to me between classes or email me. Good luck to all!
